Nebo Invite- Varsity Boys race

Im not racing with the guys up at Bob Firman. So I ran with jv guys at Nebo (holt signed me and mikey and nathan up for the varsity race). The race was at Salem hills and I ran the course freshman year but they changed the course completely and they added like a huge section of farmland and the race didnt even go on the track at all. It was super rainy and bad weather so I hung out in the school most of the time. I stretched and drained. Me Mikey and Nathan warmed up together. I got 18 mph on a traffic speed measurer thing.

We spiked up and headed to the start line. I kept my jacket on untill the very start. It wasnt raining hard anymore though. The gun went off and I got out alright. I was towards the front. a big lead group broke off and I was just chillin. On the first mile idk what I got but I was on good pace. I got slower though, I didnt die hard but I didnt keep a good fast pace. When we hit the farm section the second time there was a group around me I tried to pass. That didnt happen but it helped me have some focus for the last 1200. I got passed by a few guys. Not a very good kick for me. It was kind of hard to sprint on the grass cuz it was so muddy from the races before. crossed the line at 1654.

The AF guys wrecked. theyre pretty beast. After I talked to Decker a little, he was basicly the coach for this meet. figured even though its another slow race it would probably be good enough to get back on varsity. My fam was there and I decided to go up to Boise with them to watch the boys and my sister and the girls race at Bob Firman. I cooled down a little by my self then left with my fam and we drove all the way to boise it was funn though.
