11am- Pine View Invite- 800m

Since I am now an experienced annoucer/timer coach made me run the press box but I left after the 300m hurdle finals to go warm up. I hurried and drank my Mt Dew kickstart (with coconut water) so that Id be on an intense caffeine buzz during my race. Me Cam and Jason warmed up around the DI loop, idk where Skylar was. We got down on the field, strided out and threw water on our faces and stuff.

The gameplan for this race was pretty straight forward: take the first lap as it comes and hit the second lap hard as a mutha. My beautiful Mt Dew got me though the first lap decent but with so much people I still was near the end of the pack. I could see my teamates up in the pack further and that was a little discouraging. I pushed all the doubt out of my face and coming in to the second lap I moved to the outside and started picking my way thought the pack. Coming down the back stretch I was starting to get hardcore boxed in so as soon as I saw a gap I shoved myself passed people. It was getting pretty physical and as I broke through the pack I got a decently hard shove in the back from some kid which gave me a nice boost coming into the final 200m. I pulled out a pretty sick kick for the last 200 and I gave it all I had. I aint gonna lie, that last 100m was pure hell. I ended up passing up like 3/4ths of the guys in my heat that 2nd lap, finishing 5th in my heat and 18th overall. It was a pretty good race and I can tell that I went all-out because I threw up every bit of water that I tried to drink (hopefully they emptied the garbage in the press box).

I took a nice nap and just chilled in the box for the rest of the meet. I got a sick new pair of SGs from the lost and found, nobody claimed them, I didnt straight up steal them. The lenses are very reflexiony. After the meet we went to GoSnow and watched Starwars and played James Bond at mi casa. Gotta say, today was a good day.
