8am- didnt blog last week but I have been struggling with a bit of inflammation in the right shin region. cut back my minutes quite a bit and iced and stretched a ton. Bought some new peg 34s from Nike Oregon Project theyre dope. also they make my shin feel a ton better. bringing my minutes back up to full this week. Ran prospector trail and it really sucked. I was tired from the start but I was determined to get back into my full minutes. accidentally went like 110 minutes lol.

10am- ran around 60 minutes felt good. pushed the pace a little. Im not trying to waste anytime getting back where I want to be

4pm- 30 minutes. hot afternoon easy run. some jerk tried to force me off the road up on green springs drive, so I juked out into the road a little (probably not smart) but anyways I totally got him and he swerved hard into the other lane and layed on his horn. totally worth it

10am- me and jose did our workout at pv. 4x1000, 400, 600 at cv pace, equal recovery. good workout for me, i was either on pace or faster

am- easy run 40

5pm- traveled to Logan to visit USU. I ran at a park and then I found Logan highschool and it was cool so I ran a mile on their track. twas nice. It was snowy and rainy. 30 min

830am- Ran around the campus at USU to check things out. Ran a mile on their track. it was covered with ice it was pretty slippy. did a couple hills on steep incline. 60 min

9am- zen trail with my dad. saw matt thatcher on the trail heading the opposite way and stopped and said hi. pretty good run. been listening to some rich roll podcasts and track season is underway so im tryna keep my food healthy. ate 6 bananas and a salad and some ice cream on the way home yesterday and I still feel sick

530am- long run with the boys, pretty good and easy. longer runs are making my shin sore though

3pm- 50 minute easy run, pretty fun run, found a voss water bottle on the side of the road now I have high class hydration

615am- felt really crappy but thats from too much spicy food last night

3pm- beast workout in the sun. actually was a bit hot today. 4x1200s @CV pace with 2 min recovery and hill circuit after. me logan and nathan handled it pretty good. got a little sore later on but the good kind of sore.

PV INVITE 1600m seeded heat

ran 25 min in the morning. stuck around and helped out to set up but then me and jose went to get some snacks. luckily coach put my time as 435 so I got into the seeded heat otherwise my race would have been like an hour and a half later. warmed to hearts and back. felt kind of tired but i think i was just a little nervous. 

I wasnt very agressive at the start and I got stuck at the very back of the pack. I really dont have much to say about this race. I was slow and not able to keep up. got some work to do

Me Samson Michael and Sherm ran the medley, sherm because jacob pulled his hamstring. Samson straight beasted his leg and handed off to me barely in first. Caleb and the timp and orem guys quickly got around me though. I let them lead the first lap 59sec or so. Tried to get moving and pass  but only got the orem kid. I didnt really have anything for that second lap and finished 3rd by a few seconds. StateQ though so still good. after watching all our races I really just dont think that we are in racing shape right now. Our workouts are too easy, we never go under 515 pace so idk how we expect to be ready to run 420s and sub 2min 800s. hopefully we will get some work in the coming weeks.
