Dogtown Half

I picked julien up and we went over to stahlei farms bumpin some loud music in my civic. we caught the shuttle up to the start line and warmed up to a telephone pole and we peed and stretched and went and dropped our warm clothes with his dad. it was so foofing cold. I saw coach which i didnt even know he was going to run with us so that was awesome. The start was way better than last year but they didnt do the cool countdown its whatever i liked that.

We started off in a good fast pack and the first couple miles went by quick. After a few miles our pack was me, carson, mitch, julien, and dave. the hill where the start was last year was a little tough but after that it was downhill all through coral canyon and we were flying and feeling good. At the top of hell hole we lost carson to the porta pottys but the rest of us were doing good and kept it rolling down hell hole all the way to sullivan park. mitch made a move a little befor the hill on washington field road at like mile 11. I tried to get going after him on that down hill but i was too drained to make up any ground. coach and jules were right with me on the turn to go up the road to jakes house. coach took the lead and I went with him and stuck with him, julien just a couple seconds behind us. 300 left I passed coach and kicked it in to the finsh to take 4th, julien 6 seconds behind me and coach 3 seconds behind him.

pretty good race for me. the only reason I like halfs is ive prd everytime so far. juliens a beast he hit like a 9 minute pr. all of us did good really. It shows we'll have a strong base coming into track season. fun fact- my pace for this race was faster than at NXR last november. for the rest of the day I ate food and watched tv it was greattt.
