8am- Dogtown Half

I got to bed early last night to rest up for this morning. I got up early, showered, ate a bannana and some carrots. I wore my costa rica singlet and my calavera boa shorts (looked fly as heck). Me and Julien got a ride to the start with my mom. we warmed up like 2 minutes and hung out with coach preston mitch and dallen untill the start.

We started out faster than in past years, credit to coach holt I think. I forgot thier names but a guy from salt lake and a guy from DSU started out in front. I grouped in with preston mitch dallen and coach and also james for a bit. We stayed together really good throughout the first 4 miles through coral canyon. The DSU guy was in front of us and we were slowly gaining on him down coral canyon. Once we got down on the road to Hell hole coach picked up the pace pretty good and I nearly fell off the squad, but not quite. It was a good mental win to push and stay with my teamates. We caught Shi-Quan Nettingham (I looked up his name) entering hell hole but couldnt break away from him. He surged and broke away but coach said calm down we will let him wear out then go catch him in the last 4 miles. I felt great through hell hole, it was nice and cool weather, good grouping and we were rolling easy. The warbys gave us some water at sullivan soccer park. When we hit washington fields road we started working again. Jason and Andrew jumped in with us. Dallen fell off our group. On the curvy hill I fell off. Jason held back and kept runnning with me. I got moving good again on the downhill and got ready for the last 3 miles. preston coach and mitch were in front of me like 30 seconds or so. Mitch pulled away from them on the Magestic hill and went after Shi-Quan.  I went hard for the last couple miles. I closed the distance between coach a little bit but I couldnt catch him. Still had a strong finish though. It was fun

Julien finished in 1:23:something so that was cool. We hung out, he got first in his age group. I took second next to preston (mitch was top 3). It was a beast race. The shirts were dope this year. I hung out with julien and macen and dylan the rest of the day

8am- met at the park in the middle of st george (idk what its called). We did 80 minutes with hills up the road to pine valley. It was pretty easy but the hills were tough. Coach rode a bike with twix on a leash. It was a nice run for the most part, good conversation. My calf started hurting towards the end. Like injury type of pain but i dont know, update as further events warrant. Finished season 3 of walking dead.
